3 Gallon Italian Glass Carboy

Great for smaller batches, the 30BGC3 is a 3 Gallon Italian Glass Carboy with a 30 mm neck width, wide body, and smooth sides. Italian carboys are made in Italy of a higher quality glass. They are known for their overall strength and uniform thickness. Glass carboys are used for brewing tests or experimental batches and dividing up larger gallon batches for yeasting. Carboys are often used during the fermentation process for homemade brewed beer, wine ales, hard cider, and mead. Carboys can also store other drinks like iced tea.

Is this glass carboy lead free?
Thank you for your inquiry. Per our product team, "No intentional introduction of any amount of the four metals is allowed. The sum of the concentration levels of incidentally introduced lead, mercury, cadmium, and hexavalent chromium present in any package or individual packaging component shall not exceed 100 parts per million by weight. As cullet is part of the raw material to produce the glass, therefore, it is inevitable to have heavy metal inside the glass. However, this glass manufacturer does not intentionally add heavy metal as raw material for glass production. To have exact reading of heavy metal inside the glass, a 3rd party lab test can be performed." The EU regulation is within 200 ppm, while the US regulation is within 100 ppm.
