Liner Definitions & Terms

F217 = F217 or Equivalent: Coextruded LDPE/Foamed PE/LDPE. F217 has a low density foam core between two solid layers of low density polyethylene. F217 has excellent odor resistance and chemical resistance.

Unlined = No Liner: A closure with no special sealing features and no liner.

PS = Pressure Sensitive (PS 22 or PS 113): Pressure Sensitive adhesive, coated on polystyrene foam liner, with one adhesive side that sticks to the container. Pressure is applied to the closure which allows for the liner to adhere to the container. When the closure is removed the pressure sensitive liner remains on the top of the container, leaving a sealed for your protection seal on the container. We also sell pressure sensitive liners separately.

PS + F217: This is a combination of both the F217 Liner and Pressure Sensitive Liner. Once the Pressure Sensitive Liner is adhered to the container, the F217 liner remains inside the cap.

PV = Pulp & Poly-Vinyl: A poly-vinyl coating applied to a white pulp paper backing. It is a good liner type for chemical resistance.

PE = Foamed Polyethylene : Solid extruded polyethylene. PE is a good general-purpose liner material with a broad application base & chemical resistance.

Induction Liner = Heat Induction Seal Liner: A liner with a specialized laminate containing aluminum foil and a plastic heat sealable film that seals to a container through the use of an heat induction machine. The induction machine produces an electromagnetic current which adheres the foil lining on to the container which makes an air tight seal between the liner and the container.

Foil Liner: Aluminum Foil lining which does not have induction seal capabilities. It is just a standard foil backing.
