This 55 gallon 4 mil low density polyethylene (LDPE) flat bottom drum liner with a tie top is constructed of a one piece sleeve that has been heat sealed together. This 38" x 65" liner is made with FDA Compliant prime virgin plastic to help contain the products within a 55 gallon drum in a clean environment and limit exposure during processing. LDPE is flexible and resilient. The tie top allows the drum liner to be user friendly and easy to close.

Can this drum liner be used for holding liquids for consumption?

Although this liner is made of FDA approved plastic, storing consumable liquids in a drum using this liner is not recommended as a drum's previous contents could contaminate the liquid within the liner. A more suitable choice would be 55 Gallon Yellow Plastic Drum, UN Rated, Cover w/Metal Lever Lock, 2" & 2" Fittings, Part #56BB5Y or 55 Gallon Black Plastic Drum, UN Rated, Cover w/Metal Lever Lock, 2" & 2" Fittings, Part #56BB5K. Both drums are made of FDA-approved HDPE plastic. However, please note that it is the end user's responsibility to ultimately determine product and packaging compatibility.
