When you're named after the God of Battle, you know that life is not a walk in the park. From Tyra Dramm's humble beginnings growing up on a small organic farm in Western, New York to her growing drive in later years fighting unjust issues with regards to animals and nature, Tyra has always been an advocate for causes that inspire and push for change. Her desire to live a sustainable and harmonious lifestyle naturally led to the creation of Hive to Home, Bee Good Products, a company that distributes raw honey, along with other honey or natural ingredients based body products.
Honey Bee Love
As an avid gardener and bee lover, Tyra was aware of the declining bee population affecting the world. Her desire to help bees led her into the honey business. Tyra noted, "My love for bees inspired me to create this company, not only to showcase the benefits of pure, raw honey, but to educate and encourage the protection of our most important and precious pollinators." By creating this company, Tyra also wished to simplify the consumer's daily beauty regimen using effective natural products that did not have any preservatives, harsh chemicals, and artificial dyes.
From Idea to Business
Tyra took the first step into creating her business by partnering up with a good friend who was running a raw honey business that had been around for generations. She started by distributing raw honey, explaining, "I began educating and promoting the health benefits of raw honey to everyone I came in contact with."
On the recommendation of a friend, Tyra discovered The Cary Company, which she noted offered her the best value for bottles and caps. Within these selections, Tyra chose the skep honey bottles and snap top caps to package her honey. She also chose to have The Cary Company's design team create her honey label and logo. After Tyra's initial success with selling raw honey, she began adding more product selections to her Bee Good Products line. Her brand expanded from honey to all natural and palm free soaps, body butters, scrubs, and hair products. Tyra emphasizes that, "Each and every product is handcrafted with an uncompromising commitment to using only the finest ingredients." Tyra's customers agree as well. The Future Looks Bright
Tyra's products can be found on her company's website, Bee Good Products, where orders can be placed online and shipped to homes. They are also sold in Lake Placid, NY at Farm House Cafe, Villa Vespa, Placid Bay Inn, and River Rock Salon. Tyra hopes to eventually have her products available where she currently resides in Beaufort, South Carolina in a store front on Bay Street so that locals and visitors can personally see and experience her handcrafted products.
Bee Good Products will also be adding on two new facial kits and individual products. The line will carry acne, clarify and sensitive hydrating, 3 in 1 system showcasing facial grains, toner, and serums, along with seasonal cleansing bars that will be available by the fall or holiday season.
Making a Lasting Impression
Even with all of Tyra's accomplishments, she continues to work hard at educating consumers and finding a way to reach a larger audience for her passion products. She has big plans for her Hive to Home, Bee Good Products Company and that includes a goal of, "always making the highest quality, handcrafted goods, showcasing my love of nature (especially the magnificent bee), and to produce healthy, organic, and sustainable products that are great for us and the environment. Personal care products don't need to be over complicated, nor reserved for the wealthy. We all need to be environmentally conscious and deserve to be healthy and happy!"
