Phoenix Plastics™ Specialty Additives for the Plastic Industry.

Cel-Span® CFA 200 is a 50% active Binary foaming agent specially formulated with activators and self-nucleating agents that contribute to uniform cell formation and smooth surfaces. Cel-Span® CFA 200 concentrate releases mostly N2 and CO2 gases upon decomposition. This product is safe when used under the conditions of intended use. Upon complete decomposition (activation) of the C.F.A., the extruded and Injected parts will become white, similar in color to endothermic chemical foaming agents. Cel-Span® CFA 200 is recommended for extrusion, injection molding, and structural molding of any kind of thermoplastics, except polycarbonate and thermoplastic polyesters.

Cel-Span® CFA 200 is a 50% active Binary foaming agent specially formulated with activators and self-nucleating agents that contribute to uniform cell formation and smooth surfaces. Cel-Span® CFA 200 concentrate releases mostly N2 and CO2 gases upon decomposition. This product is safe when used under the conditions of intended use. Upon complete decomposition (activation) of the C.F.A., the extruded and Injected parts will become white, similar in color to endothermic chemical foaming agents.   • Chemical Composition: Modified Azodicarbonamide
  • Appearance: Dust Free Yellow Pellets
  • Decomposition Temperature: 195ºC to 315ºC
  • Gas Volume g/cc: 160 – 170
  • Gas Evolved: N2, CO2, NH3
Usage Recommendations:
  • Extrusion: 1.0-1.5%
  • Nucleation of Direct Gas Foamed: 0.5-1%
  • Gas Counter Pressure: 1.0-2.5%
  • Structural Foamed Molding: 1.5-2.5%
