The 68W24Y is a 24mm (24/400 neck finish) Yellow industry standard plastic cap with a F-217® three-ply co-extruded foam liner. This closure is made of polypropylene (PP) plastic and fits our 24-400 bottles and jars. Industry standard plastic caps feature a textured top and ribbed sides. The ribbed-sided design allows for ease of use when removing the lid. The F-217 liners are compatible with many substances and are great for general lining applications.Cap Liner:F-217
liners are made of three layers: a thin soft polyethylene foam core sandwiched between two clear layers of LDPE film. F-217 has become the industry standard due to its all-purpose compatibility, resilient, compressible seal, cleanliness (no pulp dust) and economy. F-217 liners are taste and odor resistant, and have a low moisture transmission rate, meaning they prevent moisture from entering the bottle and affecting products. F-217 is a brand-name and tends to be used interchangeably with foam liner. However, F-217 actually performs better than a regular foam liner. Like the foam liner, this also does not create an airtight seal. View our Guide to Liners

is a tough plastic that has a good chemical resistant. PP is translucent in its natural state but can have a glossy finish when produced with color. Some examples of common products with PP are dairy and medication containers. Polypropylene is suitable for hot fill applications of up to 165°F and is therefore great for autoclaving. It is not recommended for cold or sub-freezing temperatures. The Cary Company has an assortment of polypropylene plastics available for purchase, such as plastic caps and jars, which have a higher tolerance for chemical products.
