Specifications
The 67W53R is a 53mm (53-485 neck finish) red dual door flapper cap (sift & spoon) with pressure sensitive liner. This polypropylene (PP) plastic cap features two snap closures - one side has a wide slot for spoons or pouring, and one side has 7 holes (each 0.200" wide) for controlled dispensing. This closure is a popular option for dry food ingredients such as herbs and spices. Pressure sensitive liners create an actual seal which provides an extra level of protection. They are best for dry products and can at times, work with thick liquids such as creams and sauces. Generally, these liners are not recommended for liquids and oils.

Material:

Polypropylene PlasticPolypropylene (PP) is a tough plastic that has excellent chemical resistance. PP is translucent in its natural state but can have a glossy finish when produced with color. Some examples of common products made with PP are dairy and medication containers. Polypropylene is suitable for hot fill applications of up to 205°F and is therefore great for autoclaving. It is not recommended for cold or sub-freezing temperatures. The Cary Company has an assortment of polypropylene plastics available for purchase, such as plastic caps and jars, which have a higher tolerance for chemical products. Discover if Polypropylene is appropriate for hot fill application by learning more about What Is Hot Fill Packaging and how it applies to Polypropylene containers.
