Polimeros Sinteticos AMBERYL 625 resin is a partially dimerized gum rosin, it has a higher softening point and higher viscosity compared with natural rosin. Soluble in Aliphatic and Aromatic hydrocarbon solvents, ketones, esters and high molecular alcohols, insoluble in methanol, ethanol and in water. Compatible with EVA (Ethylene and Vinyl-Acetate Copolymer), natural and synthetic rubbers and other polymers.
**Insoluble: Turbid in all proportions with solvent; Slight soluble: Crystalline until a ratio 3:1 (Solvent: Resin); partially soluble: Crystalline until a ratio 9:1 (Solvent: Resin) and completely soluble: Crystalline in a ratio equal or higher tan 10:1 (Solvent: Resin).
Amberyl 625 resin is recommended for the formulation of synthetic gum rosin resins with higher softening point for Hot Melts and solvent borne adhesives; as additive in the same type of adhesives and in formulation of varnish and inks (as vehicle and adhesion
promoter); it has a good adherence on a broad spectrum of substrates.
FDA: AMBERYL 650 RESIN meets the requirements of the Code of Federal Regulations, TITLE 21 under the following sections when used according to the regulations and the limitations that may apply: 175.105 Adhesives.
