ACEMATT® 3300
Description:
Pyrogenic, surface modified silica
Particle size d50 value (laser diffraction): 9 µm
Chemical Name:
Silicon dioxide, chemically prepared, polysiloxane
Synonyms:
Matting agent, silica, pyrogenic silica
Applications:
ACEMATT® 3300 is a new development in the ACEMATT® family of matting agents.
In solvent and waterborne coatings the surface modification leads to an outstanding suspension behaviour. In waterborne systems, there is only a minimum adsorption of associative thickeners resulting in improved rheology stability.
Excellent transparency is obtained making it ideal for clear wood coatings, as observed by the depth of color when applied over colored substrates.
ACEMATT® 3300 also has the added benefit of providing an elegant matted finish to soft-feel coatings as well as enhancing the tactile sensation

ACEMATT®OK 607
Description:
Easily dispersible, very finely divided matting agent with organic surface treatment.
Average agglomerate particle size (median TEM): 2 µm
Chemical Name:
Silicon dioxide, produced chemically
Synonyms:
Matting agent, precipitated silica
Applications:
The overall array of properties matches ACEMATT® OK 412. Distinctions include both particle size and the resulting high surface smoothness and distinct sheen behavior; thus, in comparison to ACEMATT® OK 412, ACEMATT® OK 500 and ACEMATT® OK 520, high gloss at the 85° observation angle.
It is ideal for thin-layer systems with top surface quality.
It is also eminently suitable for aqueous coating systems in which coarse-particle matting agents result in rough coating film surfaces.
Thanks to a fine-tuned manufactoring process, the positive properties of ACEMATT® OK products are achieved at a small coating thickness, so no adverse effects are anticipated on intermediate adhesion.
What differentiates it from ACEMATT® OK 412, besides the particle size, is the very high surface smoothness and significant sheen behavior. It is predestined for thin-layer systems with high quality surfaces. It is also ideal for water-soluble lacquers on which coarse matting agents result in rough lacquer film surfaces.
