SIPERNAT® Precipitated Silica


SIPERNAT® 160

SIPERNAT® 160 is a fine particle silica with a high SiO2 content of >=99.0% referred to the ignited substance. SIPERNAT® 160 is noted for its good dispersion properties and low drying loss.

Application Area:
PLASTICS - As an active reinforcement filler in silicone rubber, results in formulations with a high reinforcement effect, good transparency of vulcanized goods. Moisture absorption is reduced at very low residual salt content; vulcanized product shows high electrical resistance

 

SIPERNAT® 22

SIPERNAT® 22 is a silica with spherical particles, low fines content and high oil absorption (DBP). SIPERNAT® 22 combines high absorption capacity for liquids with high bulk density and very good flow properties..

Application Area:
Agriculture - Due to the relatively coarse particle structure and the precipitated silica's high absorbency, it is an ideal carrier for manufacturing easily dosed, highly concentrated adsorbents; also as grinding additive for active ingredients that melt at low temperatures.
Fire Extinguishers - Grinding additive for monoammoniumphoshate (MAP) for manufacturing fine-particle fire extinguishing powders with good dispersion characteristics.
Food Industry - Carrier for aromas and other liquid constituents; free flow additive for direct use in spraying tower for drying various instant food products.

Application Area:

Printing Inks - Reduces spray in offset printing processes.
Plastics - Used to ensure porosity in polyethylene separators for acid/lead batteries, ensures very low electrical resistance. Also suitable for glass mat separators.
Food Industry - Improves flow characteristics in numerous foods, e.g. salt, spices, coffee whitener or sugar.
Paper Industry - Special filler for non wood-free printing and writing grades (i.e. newsprint). Moves opacity, reduces strike- through.
Personal Care - Rheology in cosmetics, used in hyddrophobic phase.

 

SIPERNAT® 320 DS

SIPERNAT® 320 DS is a very fine silica with a good thickening effect in liquid systems.

SIPERNAT® 35

SIPERNAT® 35 is a silica with a very fine particle size and alkaline pH. SIPERNAT® 35 can be used as base for manufacturing hydrophobic silica products.

SIPERNAT® 500 LS

SIPERNAT® 500 LS is a very fine particle silica with a maximal oil absorption (DBP) and a surface area of 450 m2/g. SIPERNAT® 500 LS exhibits a very high absorption capacity for liquids, is a good thickener for liquid systems and has a high thermal insulation effect.

SIPERNAT® 820 A

SIPERNAT® 820 A is a very fine particle aluminium silicate with an aluminium content of app. 9.5% in the form of Al2O3 and app. 8% sodium in the form of Na2O. SIPERNAT® 820 A has a medium oil absorption (DBP) and a high whiteness level.

SIPERNAT® 880 is a fine particle calcium silicate with a calcium content of app. 6 % in the form of CaO. SIPERNAT® 880 has an alkaline pH value and a medium oil absorption (DBP).

SIPERNAT® D 10

SIPERNAT® D 10 is a hydrophobic precipitated silica with very fine particle size. SIPERNAT® D 10 contains approx. 3 % chemically bound carbon; particles can therefore not adsorb water. The methanol adsorption rate by SIPERNAT® D 10 of approx. 60 % shows a high degree of hydrophobization.
