NYTAL® Industrial Talc

Nytal 3X has a medium binder demand with fineness similar to Nytal 200. It is useful where a medium binder is required and Hegman fineness is not crucial. For use in interior wall paints, exterior house paints, primers, maintenance paints and traffic paints. Used as a filler and extender for elastomers and polymers.

Technical Data Sheets: Nytal 3X
MSDS: Nytal 3X

Nytal 5X has a slightly higher binder demand than the Nytal 3X, but is a fine textured type of inert filler that stirs readily into paint to a 2 Hegman fineness at the three pounds per gallon level. For use in interior wall paints, exterior house paints, primers, maintenance paints and traffic paints. Used as a filler and extender for elastomers and coatings.

Technical Data Sheets: Nytal 5X
MSDS: Nytal 5X

Nytal®100HR - a very carefully controlled talc for casting. Nytal 100HR is recommended for hobby and art pottery casting slips where high specific gravity and stable viscosities are important.

Technical Data Sheets: Nytal 100HR

Ceramic grade talc.

Technical Data Sheets: Nytal 100
MSDS: Nytal 100

Nytal 200 has a low binder demand, with 1% to 2% retained on a No. 325 sieve. As a relatively coarse type of inert filler, it is a useful extender in coatings where paint fineness and film smoothness are not prime importance, but where some degree of film roughness or "tooth" is beneficial, as in primers.

Technical Data Sheets: Nytal 200
MSDS: Nytal 200

NYTAL 300H

For use in both solvent-thinned and water-thinned coatings for interior wall paints, exterior house paints, maintenance paints and traffic paints.

Technical Data Sheets: Nytal 300H
MSDS: Nytal 300H

Nytal 300 has a medium binder demand and serves as a general purpose extender for all paints where fineness and film smoothness are of primary importance. This grade readily stirs into paint to a 4 Hegman fineness at a level of three pounds per gallon. Nytal 300, with its ease of dispersion, good dry brightness, and compatibility with other ingredients in the formulation, contributes to the working and suspension properties of paint.

Technical Data Sheets: Nytal 300
MSDS: Nytal 300

Nytal 400 is a superfine talc pigment. It stirs in easily to a 5 Hegman fineness at the three pounds per gallon level and finds application in formulations where high paint fineness and film smoothness are required, such as semi-gloss enamels. The great ease of incorporation enables last minute batch adjustments by the formulator for consistency, sheen, or other special properties prior to filling operation.

Technical Data Sheets: Nytal 400
MSDS: Nytal 400

Nytal 3300 is a low absorption filler of medium coarseness. Used in interior wall paints, exterior house paints, primers, maintenance paints and traffic paints.

Technical Data Sheets: Nytal 3300
MSDS: Nytal 3300

Nytal 6600 is an ultra fine talc pigment. Suggested for use in paints where high Hegman fineness and film smoothness are required such as semi-gloss paints. Also as a filler and extender for natural and synthetic rubbers in specialized applications.

Technical Data Sheets: Nytal 6600
MSDS: Nytal 6600

NYTAL 7700 is an ultra fine talc pigment. Suggested for use in paints where high hegman fineness and film smoothness are required, such as semi-gloss paints. Also as filler and extender for natural and synthetic rubbers in specialized applications.

Technical Data Sheets: Nytal 7700
MSDS: Nytal 7700

VANSIL® Wollastonite

Vansil W-10 is a coarse grade with 2.7% retained on a 200 mesh sieve. It is useful as an extender in high-build coatings such as block fillers and texture paints where pigment fineness is not a prerequisite.

Technical Data Sheets: Vansil W10
MSDS: Vansil W10

Vansil W-20 is a relatively coarse grade with 1.5% retained on a 325 mesh sieve. It will disperse to a 0 to 1 Hegman fineness at three pounds per gallon, thereby providing some degree of film roughness where desired.

Technical Data Sheets: Vansil W20
MSDS: Vansil W20

Vansil W-30 disperses to a 4 Hegman fineness at three pounds per gallon. This grade provides smooth paint film and is a general purpose extender.

MSDS: Vansil W30

VANTALC® Magnesium Silicate Pigment

Effective for gloss control, especially where film smoothness and pigment suspension are important. Filler for polypropylene, especially when good heat aging and retention of physical properties are important.

Technical Data Sheets: Vantalc 6H
MSDS: Vantalc 6H
