Part# 63W300 - Cel-Span® 300 purge agent contains several proprietary additives that are essential in the cleansing process of high temperatures and lower melting polyolefin. Cel-Span® 300 was created to be the least cost prohibitive cleansing compound on the market today.

Applications:
Cel-Span® 300 can be used directly without any mixing necessary to clean most plastic equipment during color, and resin changes. The unique additives and resin system in Cel-Span® 300, makes it possible to purge color resins like Polyolefins, A.B.S., Styrenics and HDPE in less time in most resin applications.

Packaging & Storage
Cel-Span® 300 is packaged in a 55 lb. plastic bag (Part#68W300) or 1,100 lb. Gaylord box. We recommend that this product be kept closed in its original container or package and in a dry location.

These instructions are proposed to be used as guiding principles for the correct manufacture and storage of Phoenix Plastics Cel-Span® 300 purging compound. Because of machine, temperature, resin, and manufacturing variances, these instructions are only meant as a guide for the user. Please contact us for more information on this purging compound.
- STORAGE OF CEL-SPAN® 300:
o Store in a cool dry location
o Do not open until manufactured to reduce contamination
- RESIN COMPATIBILITY:
o Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Acetal, ABS, EVA, Polystyrene Nylon, PBT, PEEK, PET, Polycarbonate, and PPO
- TEMPERATURE:
o 180°C to 290°C
- PERCENT USAGE:
o 100%
- EQUIPMENT:
o No Modifications to equipment needed
- SAFETY MEASURES:
o Follow safety measures as you normally would or as illustrated in your company policy
- SUGGESTED PROCEDURE:
o Empty barrel of all colored or contaminated material. Clean Hopper and throat area of debris
o Add enough Cel-Span® 300 to fill 3 barrelfuls of the machines capacity. Run machine as normal
o When all Cel-Span® 300 has completely exited the barrel, inspect. If necessary, repeat previous step
o When color or debris no longer exits the barrel, add next resin and run machine as normal |
