This 1 gallon (128 fl. oz.) hybrid paint can is made of durable polypropylene (PP) plastic and incorporates a steel ring and plug. This dent- and rust-resistant container can be used for paints, stains, mastics and other viscous products. These containers are typically used for water-based and latex paints. Material:

Polypropylene (PP) is a tough plastic that has excellent chemical resistance. PP is translucent in its natural state but can have a glossy finish when produced with color. Some examples of common products made with PP are dairy and medication containers. Polypropylene is suitable for hot fill applications of up to 205°F and is therefore great for autoclaving. Distortion occurs between 240° to 270° F. It is not recommended for cold or sub-freezing temperatures. The Cary Company has an assortment of polypropylene plastics available for purchase, such as plastic caps and jars, which have a higher tolerance for chemical products. Hybrid paint cans are made of black regrind recycled polypropylene plastic and are combined with a coated tin plate ring and plug. The Cary Company also offers epoxy lined hybrid paint cans.

Is this hybrid paint can sturdy?

Not only is this hybrid paint can dent-resistant, but it’s also lightweight and a great alternative to standard tin paint cans.
