HDPE Type 1 Safety Can for flammables, 1 gallon, S/S hardware, self-close lid, White, Oval
37BL29 is a white 1 gallon polyethylene Type I safety can for the safe storage of flammables, acids and corrosives. Made of durable high-density polyethylene (HDPE), this tough construction gas can withstands chips, dents and punctures, and is heat resistant. Self-closing cap is leak tight to prevent spillage and automatically vents to guard against explosion. Stainless steel hardware and flame arrester resist chemical corrosion. The unit's cap, pressure-relief mechanism and flame arrester prevent ignition sources from entering without restricting liquid flow into or out of can. Patented conductive carbon insert, embedded into the container's rib, completes ground path between cover and flame arrester. When used with grounding strip, carbon insert inhibits creation of a static arc during filling or pouring.
The 37BL34 is a white polyethylene funnel for 1/2 gallon and 1 gallon Type I polyethylene safety cans. Crafted of durable polyethylene (PE), this funnel features a curved spout receptacle to easily transfer flammable and corrosive liquids, such as oil, gasolin
The 37BL28 is a bolt-on polyethylene funnel for nonmetallic Type I safety cans that safely transfers flammable liquids. Features a 13-1/2" long galvanized steel hose that resists rust and withstands chemicals. Rounded bowl is made of tough polyethylene to avoi

Cap trigger mechanism allows pouring a small quantity of liquid. Oval bottom design increases storage capacity by 30%.
The proper handling of flammable and combustible liquids is important for the prevention of fires and explosions. Storing your flammable and combustible liquids in safety cans prevents the occurrence of fires and explosions as they prevent the creation of flammable vapors, spills, and are designed to safely relieve internal pressure when subjected to fire conditions. Safety cans are vigorously tested to determine strength and go through drop, leak, strength and compatibility tests in order to determine the highest quality in safety standards. It is critical that you choose the proper can that has been determined to be compatible with your combustible or flammable liquid. The 37BL29 Type I safety can is FM approved, and OSHA and NFPA compliant.

Material:
High density polyethylene (HDPE ) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact and chemical resistance, is naturally translucent and flexible. It is typically used for personal care products such as shampoo bottles. Adding color will give HDPE an opaque look that will result in an increase in weight and rigidness. We have a variety of these rigid and tough high density polyethylene products in stock, from containers, pails, bottles, caps, tubs and jugs. HDPE works well in below freezing temperatures. HDPE heat compatibility varies. Maximum fill temperature is generally around 171°F; however, testing is recommended with your specific product and application. Distortion occurs between 220° to 250° F.
