- Specifications
- The 67B1BP is a 100mm blue canister closure with pressure sensitive liner. This closure is made of polypropylene and fits our 100mm canisters. The ribbed-sided design allows for ease of use when removing lid. Pressure sensitive liners provide an extra level of protection in that it actually creates a seal. They are best for dry products and can at times, work with thick liquids such as creams and sauces. Generally, these liners are not recommended for liquids and oils.** Pressure sensitive liners are not considered a form of tamper evident seal.
Material:
Polypropylene (PP) is a tough plastic that has excellent chemical resistance. PP is translucent in its natural state but can have a glossy finish when produced with color. Some examples of common products made with PP are dairy and medication containers. Polypropylene is suitable for hot fill applications of up to 205°F and is therefore great for autoclaving. Distortion occurs between 240° to 270° F. It is not recommended for cold or sub-freezing temperatures. The Cary Company has an assortment of polypropylene plastics available for purchase, such as plastic caps and jars, which have a higher tolerance for chemical products.
