This two-piece 12" Dia. x 2" W mica band heater is a high-temperature heater is suitable for cylindrical surfaces in a variety of diameters. Band heaters are used for various applications including plastic injection molding, plastic extrusion, molding presses, die casting, blown-film, packaging, food processing and analytical instrumentation. This heater features an electrogalvanized steel sheath that provides oxidation resistance and durability; mica insulation provides excellent electrical insulation at high temperatures. Stainless steel clamps maintain clamping pressure at elevated temperatures. This heater has a 850° F (454° C) maximum operating temperature, making it perfect for high-temperature applications. Two-piece heaters feature a welded-on clamp. These heaters also feature a low-profile design that is both convenient and sleek.
