This is an oval dust filter cartridge with an outside diameter at 13.8" at 26" long. This cartridge is made with a high-performance, flexible nanofiber surface treatment onto 350 pleats of cellulose polyester 80/20 media. The nanofiber material leads to an increased longevity and a lower operating pressure to save energy over time. This dust filter cartridge is open at both ends with an expanded inner and outer configuration. There is a metal inner and outer core and a gasket at one end. It is a great choice for grinding, sanding and other dry dust applications.

About MERV ratings

Minimum Efficiency Reporting Values (MERV) indicate a filter's ability or efficiency in capturing larger airborne particles and contaminants between 0.3 and 10 microns (µm). Developed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), MERV ratings provide a scale for ranking filters using this criterion. MERV rankings range from 1 to 20. The higher the MERV rating, the more effective the filter is at trapping small particles. Any filter rated above MERV 6 must be tested to assure its efficiency.
