What is Applied Ceramic Labeling (ACL)?

Applied ceramic labeling is a screen printing process where pigment is applied directly to the glass container and then cured at high temperatures by passing through a lehr (conveyer oven) to achieve "vitrification". The ceramic pigments are bonded to the glass resulting in a durable and scratch resistant permanent label.
