Material:

Polyvinyl Chloride PlasticPolyvinyl chloride (PVC or V) has fair chemical resistance and is characterized by its streaky yet naturally clear finish. It has a good oxygen barrier, which makes it suitable for salad oils and vinegar. PVC is not compatible with solvents. General PVC will distort at 170°F and is not suitable for hot filled applications. We stock over hundreds of polyvinyl chloride based products, such as square jugs that can hold industrial solutions and oblong jars, which can store dry products. We also have cylinder bottles that can be used with cleaning solutions and shampoos.

Can PVC plastic be used for hot fill products?
General PVC will distort at 140°F and is not suitable for hot filled applications. Some PVC containers have to be treated to make the plastic more resistant to heat. We recommend requesting a sample of the container first to see if it’s compatible with your product.
Is this PVC container chemical resistant?
PVC has good chemical resistance and can be fluorinated to become more resilient. However, we recommend reviewing your specific product’s compatibility before purchasing.
Is this PVC container food grade?
When a container is FDA compliant, that indicates that it is safe for food contact and can be used to package food or drinks that are suitable for human consumption. If our product page indicates that a container is FDA Approved, then the container is considered food grade and can be used to package consumable food and drink products.
Is this PVC container impact resistant?
Because PVC is dense, it resists impact well.
Is PVC plastic BPA free?
When a container is BPA free, that indicates that it is safe for food contact and can be used to package food or drinks that are suitable for human consumption.
