It safely stays closed when not being used, keeping contents away from fire sources and limiting oxygen exposure and eliminating the risk of spontaneous combustion. It features a round construction and an elevated base that allows circulation of air to disperse heat and reduce moisture build-up. The SoundGard™ oily waste cans also include a sound muffling pad inside the lid to reduce lid-closure noise.
