Specifications
This 24mm (24-410) vented plastic cap features ribbed sides and a matte top. Vented caps include a vented liner with a unique membrane engineered to allow a container to breath easily while still protecting product from contaminants. This cap features a heat induction seal liner for LDPE and HDPE containers offering a tamper evident seal as well as a 3-ply grooved foam liner which remains in the cap even after the consumer opens the container to continue venting the product throughout the container's usage. The grooved foam allows air to escape the closure whereas flat liners would normally be compressed. This vented closure features a B-style vent which combines great value, performance and sufficient venting applications. It is best suited for less aggressive formulas such as bleach, dry goods and powders.

Key Benefits:

  • Ribbed sides for easy grip

  • Helps extend a product's shelf life
  • Proudly Made in the USA

Material:

Polypropylene PlasticPolypropylene (PP) is a tough plastic that has excellent chemical resistance. PP is translucent in its natural state but can have a glossy finish when produced with color. Some examples of common products made with PP are dairy and medication containers. Polypropylene is suitable for hot fill applications of up to 205°F and is therefore great for autoclaving. It is not recommended for cold or sub-freezing temperatures. The Cary Company has an assortment of polypropylene plastics available for purchase, such as plastic caps and jars, which have a higher tolerance for chemical products. Discover if Polypropylene is appropriate for hot fill application by learning more about What Is Hot Fill Packaging and how it applies to Polypropylene containers.

Which styles do continuous threaded caps come in?
CT caps come in smooth top/smooth side, smooth top/ribbed side, matte top/ribbed side, and vented styles.
What’s the benefit of using this continuous threaded cap?
CT caps are widely used across industries due to its sleek look, great grip and easy use when opening and closing. Its wide surface allows for an ideal platform for labeling.
What type of containers are often paired with continuous threaded caps?
Continuous threaded caps can be used with various industries and numerous sized containers anywhere from small glass vials to industrial F-style containers. Compatible containers are listed (though not limited to) under the related items section of the product page.
How do the vents on these caps work?
Once the liner is adhered to the bottle, the small vent in the liner allows for gases to filter out underneath the cap
What is the benefit to a vented cap as opposed to a cap with a standard liner?
The vent helps the container to "breathe" while also preventing bloating, paneling, and leaking. Without a "vent", heat induction liners provide an airtight seal.
What type of applications are recommended with vented caps?
It is recommended to be used with less aggressive formulas such as bleach, dry goods, or powders. If you are not sure if this is the right cap for you, you are welcome to request a sample. This form can be found here
Is it possible to still experiencing bloating/paneling or leaking after using a “vented” liner?
Yes, it is possible. It may that your bottle needs to be fluorinated. Reach out to our sales team for more information. Click here for more details on Fluorination.
