This is a 25 gallon white vertical plastic water storage tank. Common liquids stored in these tanks are water, calcium chloride, DEF, ethyl alcohol, ferric chloride, ferric sulfate, hydrochloric acid, biodiesel, fertilizer, phosphoric acid, polymers, sodium hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite, sulfuric acid, urea, brine, agricultural chemicals, industrial chemicals and more. This plastic vertical storage tank is constructed with rotationally molded polyethylene resin. Its seamless construction makes it durable and resistant to cracks, chips, and ruptures. The poly tank is made with FDA Compliant resin that complies with FDA standards 21 CFR 177.1520 (1) 3.1 and 3.2. It's made with UV inhibitors that help protect liquid contents from direct sunlight for both indoor and outdoor use.

This 25 gallon vertical storage tank has a specific gravity rating of 1.5 (12.51 lb /gal), making it safe for variety of liquid storage solutions. It features a 5 threaded vented lid and 3/4 polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting outlet. All tanks must be cleaned before use. Although the resin is food-grade, the tanks are not food-ready and may have manufacturing residues.

Material:

High density polyethylene (HDPE ) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact and chemical resistance, is naturally translucent and flexible. It is typically used for personal care products such as shampoo bottles. Adding color will give HDPE an opaque look that will result in an increase in weight and rigidness. We have a variety of these rigid and tough high density polyethylene products in stock, from containers, pails, bottles, caps, tubs and jugs. HDPE works well in below freezing temperatures. HDPE heat compatibility varies. Maximum fill temperature is generally around 171°F; however, testing is recommended with your specific product and application.

How often should we clean this tank and what is the best way to clean it?

Thank you for your inquiry. It is recommended to clean every few months but a lot of it depends on use. Outdoor tanks would need to be cleaned more due to sunlight, weather, etc. Thank you for choosing The Cary Company!
