UN Rated (UN31HA1/Y), New Bottle (tank), Cage, and Composite Pallet

This 275 gallon IBC Tote includes a 2" NPT valve. Also known as an intermediate bulk container, IBC tank, or IBC tote, this industrial container holds the same capacity as five 55-gallon drums in less space and features a standard 2" NPT (National Pipe Thread) threaded valve. Camlock is usually used for quick connects (like hoses), while NPT is for threaded connections. This tote has three components: a new HDPE plastic bottle, a new galvanized steel cage and a new composite (plastic and galvanized steel) pallet. New bottles are made of FDA Compliant virgin resin, appropriate for food use. This IBC features a 6" top screw cap with a 2" solid NPT bung in the middle and EPDM gaskets. This IBC has a UN31HA1/Y UN rating.

Material:

High density polyethylene (HDPE ) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact and chemical resistance, is naturally translucent and flexible. It is typically used for personal care products such as shampoo bottles. Adding color will give HDPE an opaque look that will result in an increase in weight and rigidness. We have a variety of these rigid and tough high density polyethylene products in stock, from containers, pails, bottles, caps, tubs and jugs. HDPE works well in below freezing temperatures. HDPE heat compatibility varies. Maximum fill temperature is generally around 171°F; however, testing is recommended with your specific product and application. Distortion occurs between 220° to 250° F.
