This is a 28mm (28-400) black electrolytic tinplate (tin coated steel) cap designed with a full disc plastisol liner for an airtight seal. This continuous thread closure style is popular for glass containers, including bottles, jars and jugs. Caps and closures with a platisol liner are a great choice for food canning and vacuum packing due to its airtight seal. This tin coated cap can handle high temperatures up to 190° F (container must be able to withstand high temperatures as well).
Plastisol Liners can handle up to 190° F. Sampling is recommended for withstanding temperatures above 190° F.
