3.5 Gallon White Square Plastic Pail w/Plastic Handle, Life Latch, UN Rated

This UN Rated 3.5 gallon (13.24 liter) white square plastic pail comes with a plastic handle. This lightweight, FDA grade pail, made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic, is suitable for a range of packaging needs including dry goods, food and bulk retail applications. Smooth walls provide ample labeling space and are tapered to allow for easy nesting. Square design maximizes space for shipping and storing. Lid (sold separately) features a tamper-evident, double ring pull tab for easy opening and a senior-friendly, child-resistant Life Latch slide/snap mechanism that secures container contents after initial opening. Latch releases by applying slight pressure and sliding. Pail is UN Certified for Solids Groups II and III.

Material:

High-Density Polyethylene PlasticHigh density polyethylene (HDPE ) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact and chemical resistance, is naturally translucent and flexible. It is typically used for personal care products such as shampoo bottles. Adding color will give HDPE an opaque look that will result in an increase in weight and rigidness. We have a variety of these rigid and tough high density polyethylene products in stock, from containers, pails, bottles, caps, tubs and jugs. HDPE works well in below freezing temperatures. HDPE heat compatibility varies. Maximum fill temperature is generally around 171°F; however, testing is recommended with your specific product and application.

Why should I choose a square pail over a round pail?
The square shape allows these containers to be stacked together more closely, which allows you to fit more pails into shipping cartons and on store shelves than comparably sized round pails.
Can I store gasoline in this square plastic pail?
We cannot confirm that this container can safely store diesel and gasoline for extended periods. We do offer Type I and Type II metal and poly safety cans that are specifically designed to store flammable liquids (like gasoline). These cans provide the proper ventilation for flammables and are made to withstand the corrosive effects of these liquids.
