3" Dia. x 24" L Size #2 Polypropylene Oil Log w/Core

21WVS4 is a size 2 polypropylene (PP) oil log with core. Oil logs help extend the life of your bag by pulling out trace oil in your filtration system. This oil log is made of 100% polypropylene, which allows the log to absorb 5 times its weight in oil. The oil log is constructed of a spunbound jacket filled with POMF fiberfill. The shredded fibers act like a magnet for oil while maintaining a size small enough to fit in a size 2 filter bag. While this oil log is intended to fit in a size #2 bag filter, it can also skim oil off of drums or vats of liquid with oil contamination. Oil logs with cores are designed to wick grease and oil from the liquid being filtered.

Material:

Polypropylene PlasticPolypropylene (PP) is a tough plastic that has excellent chemical resistance. PP is translucent in its natural state but can have a glossy finish when produced with color. Some examples of common products made with PP are dairy and medication containers. Polypropylene is suitable for hot fill applications of up to 165°F and is therefore great for autoclaving. It is not recommended for cold or sub-freezing temperatures. The Cary Company has an assortment of polypropylene plastics available for purchase, such as plastic caps and jars, which have a higher tolerance for chemical products.
