- This 30 ml airless pump jar has white, natural, and silver-colored elements that come together to create a luxurious cosmetic container. The natural overcap snaps into place on the 51 mm neck. The airless pump mechanism creates a vaccuum for precise dispensing, maximizing product usage. It reduces bacterial growth in the product chamber by keeping air out of it, and allows for touch-free hygienic application. The airless jar is largely composed of polypropylene (PP) plastic, with some components made of LDPE, PE, and AS. This cosmetic jar style is very popular for creams and moisturizers.

Cosmetic Airless Pumps for Product Freshness
Airless pumps get their name from their ability to keep air out of the product chamber, prolonging shelf-life. Airless technology depends both on the pump and container components. The pump creates a vacuum, pushing up a piston, or plate, located at the bottom of the container. The piston pushes the product towards the pump, while also creating a barrier between the product and air that fills the empty portion of the container. Airless pumps reduce the risk of micobial growth caused by oxygen by keeping air out of the product chamber. They allow for direct, hygienic container-to-applicator use while making controlled dispensing easy, maximizing product. Please note, a vaccum needs to be built up, requiring several presses before it dispenses product.
Material:
Polypropylene (PP) is a tough plastic that has excellent chemical resistance. PP is translucent in its natural state but can have a glossy finish when produced with color. Some examples of common products made with PP are dairy and medication containers. Polypropylene is suitable for hot fill applications of up to 205°F and is therefore great for autoclaving. Distortion occurs between 240° to 270° F. It is not recommended for cold or sub-freezing temperatures. The Cary Company has an assortment of polypropylene plastics available for purchase, such as plastic caps and jars, which have a higher tolerance for chemical products. Discover if Polypropylene is appropriate for hot fill application by learning more about What Is Hot Fill Packaging and how it applies to Polypropylene containers.Disclaimer:
