Specifications
The 26WB3N is a rebottled 330 gallon IBC with a 2" NPT valve. Also known as an intermediate bulk container or tote, this industrial container holds the same capacity as six 55-gallon drums in less space and features a standard 2" NPT (National Pipe Thread) valve. It has an EPDM gasket in the discharge valve. Camlock is usually used for quick connects (like hoses), while NPT is for threaded connections. The 26WB3N has three components: a new bottle, a reconditioned cage, and a reconditioned steel/composite pallet. The 26WB3N features a 6" top screw cap, EPDM gaskets, and 4 HDPE corner protectors. This IBC has a UN31HA1/Y UN rating. The placard may be plastic, metal, or corrugated cardboard, depending on material availability.

Plastic Containers That Can Hold Food!

Plastic continues to be a top choice across the food industry, from containers being used in restaurants to jars and bottles being popular for small businesses. It is important to make sure the right plastics are being used to hold food products in accordance with the FDA. Our product specialists are available to help explain what the differences are between FDA Approved, Compliant and Food Grade.

Material:

High-Density Polyethylene PlasticHigh density polyethylene (HDPE ) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact and chemical resistance, is naturally translucent and flexible. It is typically used for personal care products such as shampoo bottles. Adding color will give HDPE an opaque look that will result in an increase in weight and rigidness. We have a variety of these rigid and tough high density polyethylene products in stock, from containers, pails, bottles, caps, tubs and jugs. HDPE works well in below freezing temperatures. HDPE heat compatibility varies. Maximum fill temperature is generally around 171°F; however, testing is recommended with your specific product and application.

Q & A
Customer Questions
Is this IBC tote food grade?
Thank you for your inquiry. No, this 330-gallon reconditioned IBC tote is not food grade. We recommend 330 Gallon IBC Tote, New, UN Rated, 2" NPT Valve, Composite Pallet, Part #26WN3N. This tote bottle is made of FDA approved virgin resin and is appropriate for food use. Thank you for choosing The Cary Company.
Is the 2" NPT valve of this 330-gallon IBC tote all plastic or is there a metal component to it? It's to store saltwater so the components must be plastic.
Thank you for your inquiry. The 2" NPT valve on this 330-gallon IBC tote is made of plastic components, therefore, it should be compatible with saltwater. Thank you for choosing The Cary Company.
Can this 330-gallon tote be used to store Jet fuel for short periods?
Thank you for your inquiry. No, we would not recommend storing jet fuel or other flammable liquids in this IBC tote. The biggest concern is that the tote bottle is made of HDPE plastic. Fuel and other flammable liquids can start to react and break down the plastic. The bonds that hold those polymers in place and essentially give the plastic its shape and strength readily interact with fuel. In other words, the fuel can break down the container and the container can affect the chemical composition of the fuel. The safest way to store this type of fuel is in our Type II safety cans. With separate pour and fill openings, these cans allow hazardous fumes to vent while pouring and filling. Type II safety cans are ideal for gasoline, diesel fuel, oil and kerosene. Thank you for choosing The Cary Company.
