Pails vs. Buckets
Believe it or not, there is a difference between a pail and a bucket. Our wide range of buckets and pails allow you to choose the right style for your needs. With countless uses, these containers are great due to their versatility. Our steel pails are a popular choice in the manufacturing, construction, and agriculture industries. Plastic pails, with bright color options, are a must-have for color coordination systems. After their initial use, pails and buckets can be reutilized for countless other needs, making them cost-effective, long-lasting resources. A 5 gallon bucket in a garden can take your planting to the next level. If you’re still stuck between a steel or plastic bucket, remember the dimensions of the two are different.

Material:
Polypropylene (PP) is a tough plastic that has excellent chemical resistance. PP is translucent in its natural state but can have a glossy finish when produced with color. Some examples of common products made with PP are dairy and medication containers. Polypropylene is suitable for hot fill applications of up to 205°F and is therefore great for autoclaving. Distortion occurs between 240° to 270° F. It is not recommended for cold or sub-freezing temperatures. The Cary Company has an assortment of polypropylene plastics available for purchase, such as plastic caps and jars, which have a higher tolerance for chemical products.
