This 4 fl. oz. 48mm (48-405) clear flint mayo economy glass jar has a wide mouth opening and a popular profile. It is great across industries, especially for food such as mayonnaise, nut butter, and jam, and useful for products that need a wide opening for dispensing. This jar is paired with a 48mm (48-400) gold electrolytic tinplate (tin coated steel) cap with a plastisol liner. Plastisol is a common liner that is used for applications such as food canning and vacuum packing, because it provides a hermetic seal (or airtight seal). Both the glass jar and cap are recommended for high temperature applications, as glass offers excellent strength, weight, and compatibility for materials that cannot use plastic containers. (48-400 caps fit 48-405 neck finishes.)
Platisol Liners can handle up to 190° F. Sampling is recommended for withstanding temperatures above 190° F. *It is recommended to clean before use.
