This 4 fl. oz. 48mm (48-485) clear paragon glass jar has a tall and straight profile, ideal for storing food products, such as spices, salsas, sauces, jam, olives, spices and more. It is paired with a 48mm (48-400) gold electrolytic tinplate (tin coated steel) cap. The cap’s plastisol liner is a common liner that is used for applications such as food canning and vacuum packing, because it provides a hermetic seal (or airtight seal). Both the jar and closure are recommended for high temperature applications. Additional benefits of glass include excellent strength, weight and compatibility for materials that cannot use plastic containers.
Platisol Liners can handle up to 190° F. Sampling is recommended for withstanding temperatures above 190° F. *It is recommended to clean before use.
