Plastisol Liners
Plastisol Liners are very popular in the food industry for canning, hot sauces, barbecue sauces, and many other applications. They have a plastic gasket on the inside of a metal closure that creates an airtight seal with the container when properly heated and cooled. They provide tamper evidence and a hermetic seal, but must be used with containers that can withstand high heat.

What does a plastisol liner do?
Metal lugs with a plastisol liner provide a hermetic seal that works perfectly with hot and cold fill contents whether it be for pasteurization or sterilization. The plastisol liner is acid-resistant and provides an oxygen barrier that helps to extend a product’s shelf life.
What types of glass containers are compatible with this metal lug cap?
Glass containers that are compatible with metal lug caps are paragon, mayo and salsa jars and stout and decanter bottles.
Does this metal lug cap create an airtight seal?
Lugs are a unique threading system found inside of the cap’s skirt, allowing it to easily hold onto a jar’s thread for that airtight seal.
