Designed to safely dispose long cotton tip applicators that have been soaked in oily solvents, thinners, linseed oil, adhesives and other flammable liquids, the foot operated self-close lid opens to no more than 60 degrees. It safely stays closed when not being used, keeping contents away from fire sources and limiting oxygen exposure and eliminating the risk of spontaneous combustion. It features a round construction and an elevated base that allows circulation of air to disperse heat and reduce moisture build-up. The SoundGard™ oily waste cans also include a sound muffling pad inside the lid to reduce lid-closure noise. Constructed out of durable steel with a chemical resistant powder-coat finish, it comes with a ten-year warranty.
