This is a unit pack includes 120 ea. 5-gallon black HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) plastic round pails with metal handles. Pails are ideal packaging solutions for food products, paints, liquids, powders, honey, oil, chemicals, agricultural products, fertilizers, and more. These round buckets are tough enough to store nails and secure enough to protect contents. They have strong reinforcing ribs for strength and a space-saving, tapered design allows pails to nest. These pail include a child warning label printed on the outside. (**Compatible with P4 Series Pail Lids Only.)

5 gallon black HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) plastic round pail with metal wire handle is ideal for paint, coatings, chemicals, foods and other applications. Pails are slightly tapered so you can stack and separate easily. The metal handle and bottom plastic hand grips make handling and pouring easier. Can withstand temperatures up to 180° F (82° C). These pail include a child warning label printed on the outside. (**Compatible with P4 Series Pail Lids Only)

Material:

High-Density Polyethylene PlasticHigh density polyethylene (HDPE ) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact resistance, is naturally translucent, flexible and typically used for personal care products such as shampoo bottles. Adding color will give HDPE an opaque look that will result in an increase in weight and rigidness. We have a variety of these rigid and tough high density polyethylene products in stock, from containers, pails, bottles, caps, tubs and jugs. HDPE works well in below freezing temperatures. HDPE heat compatibility varies. Maximum fill temperature is generally around 145°F; however, testing is recommended with your specific product and application.

Can this round plastic pail be used for food products?
If the pail is FDA approved (listed under the Additional Information section of this product page), then it is safe to store and transport food and food ingredients.

Yes, you can use a pail heater with this pail. However, be sure the heater can be used on a plastic pail and find out what temperature the pail can withstand before applying the heater.
How many cubic feet in a 5 gallon pail?
The simple conversion of measurement of 5 gallons is 0.803 cubic feet. However, this is for the nominal capacity of the pail. The actual (overflow) capacity of a pail can vary from model to model. To calculate the full volume in cubic feet, for cylinder pails, you need to multiply π (3.14) x the pail radius (in feet) x the pail height (in feet). To calculate the volume for square pails, multiply the pail's length x width x height (in feet).
