Pails vs. Buckets
Need assistance with deciding the best pail or bucket for your applications? Our wide range of buckets and pails allow you to choose the right style for your needs. With countless uses, these containers are great due to their versatility. Discover the Differences of Pails and Buckets and the factors to decide when determining the best packaging for your products.

High-Density Polyethylene PlasticHigh density polyethylene (HDPE ) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact and chemical resistance, is naturally translucent and flexible. It is typically used for personal care products such as shampoo bottles. Adding color will give HDPE an opaque look that will result in an increase in weight and rigidness. We have a variety of these rigid and tough high density polyethylene products in stock, from containers, pails, bottles, caps, tubs and jugs. HDPE works well in below freezing temperatures. HDPE heat compatibility varies. Maximum fill temperature is generally around 171°F; however, testing is recommended with your specific product and application.

What kind of accessories do you offer for plastic tight head square and rectangular containers?
How many cubic feet in a 5 gallon pail?
The simple conversion of measurement of 5 gallons is 0.803 cubic feet. However, this is for the nominal capacity of the pail. The actual (overflow) capacity of a pail can vary from model to model. To calculate the full volume in cubic feet, for cylinder pails, you need to multiply π (3.14) x the pail radius (in feet) x the pail height (in feet). To calculate the volume for square pails, multiply the pail's length x width x height (in feet).
Can gas or diesel fuel be carried in it?
Thank you for your question! This product is capable of holding gasoline, however we are not able to provide any documentation as to how long it would be suitable to hold it for. We highly recommend that you request a sample in order to do testing prior to purchasing to ensure it will work as you intend. Thank you for choosing The Cary Company!
