- This 50mm black Rieke screw cap features a TFE vent and durable polypropylene (PP) construction. This cap can be used with selected 50mm containers. This cap has a tamper evident ring and can be tightened with Rieke tightening tools. With a vent feature, this plastic cap can also help relieve any built up pressure due to gaseous byproduct, allowing safer storage by preventing potentially unsafe stacking conditions.

Polypropylene (PP) is a tough plastic that has excellent chemical resistance. PP is translucent in its natural state but can have a glossy finish when produced with color. Some examples of common products made with PP are dairy and medication containers. Polypropylene is suitable for hot fill applications of up to 205°F and is therefore great for autoclaving. It is not recommended for cold or sub-freezing temperatures.
