This 55 gallon steel drum complies with stringent UN regulations and contains a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) liner to combine the strength of a steel drum with the chemical compatibility of a plastic drum. What is this composite drum made of?
Composite drums contain a plastic HDPE interior and steel exterior to create a drum with the best of both worlds. Due do it’s plastic lining, composite drums are well suited to store chemicals. The steel exterior of composite drums allow for a strong outer wall protection.
