These yellow plastic flat top recycling lids with a 4" opening ideal for bottles and cans and are designed to fit most 55 gallon steel drums. Molded from 3/16" thick and very durable high strength fade resistant polyethylene plastic, these lids provide a safe and low maintenance option for trash and recycling in any location. The all-plastic, professional-grade construction will not rust, chip, or peel, and resists dents. No metal parts to rust or break. The strong, snap-on lids enable secure, stable stacking. Made in the USA. Optional Lanyard kit includes screws to secure the lid to the receptacle.
Trash can lids are compatible with most 55 gallon drums.

Material:
High density polyethylene (HDPE ) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact and chemical resistance, is naturally translucent and flexible. It is typically used for personal care products such as shampoo bottles. Adding color will give HDPE an opaque look that will result in an increase in weight and rigidness. We have a variety of these rigid and tough high density polyethylene products in stock, from containers, pails, bottles, caps, tubs and jugs. HDPE plastic has moderate heat tolerance, with a melting point ranging from 120°F-180°F depending on the product and application. Testing is recommended.
