Flat top bug barrier lids offer a low-profile and a movable door to allow waste to enter while keeping bugs like bees and flies out. These receptacles are durable and work well in high-wind outdoor locations such as beaches, zoos, playgrounds, national parks, etc. As the lid covers receptacle, they are also attractive and suitable for indoor locations with frequent pedestrian traffic such as shopping malls, movie theaters and other commercial centers. Made from 100% recycled polyethylene, they are long lasting and chip, peel, rust and fade resistant.

56BT74 is a full assembly 55 gallon green trash receptacle with a flat top bug barrier lid. The assembly includes the receptacle, lid, and heavy-duty liner. Flat top bug barrier lids offer a low-profile and a movable door to allow waste to enter while keeping bugs like bees and flies out. The door is 9-7/8" wide to provide enough space for larger objects such as aluminum cans or bottles. The full-coverage lid keeps waste out of view and contains odor allowing for an attractive view suitable for indoor locations with frequent pedestrian traffic such as shopping malls, movie theaters and other commercial centers. As it is durable and low-profile, flat top bug barrier receptacles can handle high-wind locations such as gas stations, truck stops, playgrounds and beaches.

Made from 100% recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE), these recycling cans are eco-friendly and contain no metal parts so they will not fade, rust, peel or chip. They are economic as the unit includes a heavy-duty liner that eliminates the need for trash bags. Simply remove and empty the liner when the receptacle fills up. The smooth sides of the receptacle are easy to clean.

Material:

High density polyethylene (HDPE ) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact and chemical resistance, is naturally translucent and flexible. It is typically used for personal care products such as shampoo bottles. Adding color will give HDPE an opaque look that will result in an increase in weight and rigidness. We have a variety of these rigid and tough high density polyethylene products in stock, from containers, pails, bottles, caps, tubs and jugs. HDPE works well in below freezing temperatures. HDPE heat compatibility varies. Maximum fill temperature is generally around 171°F; however, testing is recommended with your specific product and application.
