This 55 gallon reconditioned plastic open head drum can be used as a rain barrel or storage container for chemicals, oils, and more. This 55 gallon drum comes in mixed colors with various cover options. Due to the fact that styles of this drum vary, specifications and dimensions may vary. This drum provides optimal performance and protection for your products.

Material:

High-Density Polyethylene PlasticHigh density polyethylene (HDPE ) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact and chemical resistance, is naturally translucent and flexible. It is typically used for personal care products such as shampoo bottles. Adding color will give HDPE an opaque look that will result in an increase in weight and rigidness. We have a variety of these rigid and tough high density polyethylene products in stock, from containers, pails, bottles, caps, tubs and jugs. HDPE plastic has moderate heat tolerance, with a melting point ranging from 120°F-180°F depending on the product and application. Testing is recommended. HDPE also generally works well in below freezing temperatures.
