85 Gallon Steel Salvage Drum, UN Rated, Unlined, 20GA, Cover w/Bolt Ring Closure

This is a 85-gallon overpack salvage drum with a bolt ring that meets UN design type requirements for solids (UN1A2/Y440/S). This overpack drum is 20 gauge steel with a high-quality carbon steel construction. This gray open head salvage drum with a red cover has salvage drum label in red and an EPDM gasket. A bolt ring is a closure ring that holds the cover on to the body of the container by encompassing the cover and the top of the container in a groove. This ring is then tightened by a bolt that pulls the ends of the rings together. A calibrated torque wrench is used to confirm proper closure.

Epoxy-Phenolic Lining (Optional)
Unlined drums come with a rust inhibitor designed to prevent the drum from rusting prior to being filled. It is not intended to act as a lining. It is normally applied at thin films 0.1-0.2 mils dry. Optionally, you can order the drum with an Epoxy-Phenolic Lining designed to provide outstanding chemical resistance in a pH range of 7.0 - 9.0. The resin ratio has been varied in specific formulations to achieve the desired compromises in flexibility and resistance. Typical products packaged are alkaline products, fatty acids, detergents, emulsions, foods, general organic chemicals, surfactants and water-based resins.
