89mm 89-400 Black Plastic Dome Cap w/HIS Foil Liner
FoilSeal™ .008" C1S FS 5-9 Foil Innerseal, One-Piece, Clean Peel
This 89mm (89-400 neck finish) black dome cap is made of polypropylene (PP) with a heat induction liner and fits 89-400 bottles. This cap features a plain 0.008" C1S FS 5-9 liner, which has a one piece board backed heat induction foil innerseal that will seal all container materials with varying degrees of adhesion. Heat induction seal (HIS) liners are a popular choice when an air tight seal is needed. The "Clean Peel" liners provide an aggressive bond with clean peel removal but are not tamper-evident.Unlike pressure-sensitive liners, these are recommended for use with liquid products. Material:
Polypropylene (PP) is a tough plastic that has excellent chemical resistance. PP is translucent in its natural state but can have a glossy finish when produced with color. Some examples of common products made with PP are dairy and medication containers. Polypropylene is suitable for hot fill applications of up to 205°F and is therefore great for autoclaving. Distortion occurs between 240° to 270° F. It is not recommended for cold or sub-freezing temperatures. The Cary Company has an assortment of polypropylene plastics available for purchase, such as plastic caps and jars, which have a higher tolerance for chemical products.
