6.5 Gallon White Plastic Pail w/Plastic Handle, Threaded Opening, Life Latch, UN Rated

57WSP6 is a UN rated 6.5 gallon white threaded plastic pail with a plastic handle. This 6.5 gallon pail is made with FDA grade high-density polyethylene (HDPE) that is both durable and offers good chemical resistance. When used with compatible tamper-evident, screw-top lid (sold separately), the pail provides contents with a moisture resistant, air tight seal. Cover closes by twisting the lid in place and is secured with Life Latch mechanism that releases with a thumb push. This container is ideal for swimming pool chemicals, granules, powders and other applications. The 6.5 gallon white pail is UN certified for Solids Groups II and III.

Material:

High-Density Polyethylene PlasticHigh density polyethylene (HDPE ) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact and chemical resistance, is naturally translucent and flexible. It is typically used for personal care products such as shampoo bottles. Adding color will give HDPE an opaque look that will result in an increase in weight and rigidness. We have a variety of these rigid and tough high density polyethylene products in stock, from containers, pails, bottles, caps, tubs and jugs. HDPE works well in below freezing temperatures. HDPE heat compatibility varies. Maximum fill temperature is generally around 171°F; however, testing is recommended with your specific product and application.

Are all threaded plastic pails screw top?
Not all threaded plastic pails are screw top. We offer two screw top types that create a moisture resistant, air-tight seal: life latches and lite latches. Life latches close by twisting the lid in place and releases with a thumb push. Lite latches close by twisting the lid in place and releases by pushing the mechanism up.
