- This 32 oz. cone top REL can features a Stolz 32mm REL opening. Also known as a pour top can, it has a cylindrical body and a tapered neck. Popular uses for cone top cans include automobile additives, paint thinners, solvents, brake fluid and colorants. The Cary Company offers closures for the 30W31C, such as lined caps and inner seals. This metal container has a layer of tinplate mill oil, often referred to as TMO or protective oil, applied to tinplate coils, serving several tightly controlled functions across corrosion protection, processability and surface quality. Freshly produced tinplate is highly susceptible to oxidation, especially at cut edges and micro-porosities in the tin coating. Mill oil forms a thin hydrophobic barrier that limits oxygen and moisture contact, reduces the risk of “white rust” (tin oxide formation) and preserves brightness during storage and transit.
