Drum Liners

Many of our plastic drum liners are made from FDA-approved LDPE and are available in multiple sizes and configurations to fit 5-gallon to 55-gallon drums. Our selection includes both flexible and rigid drum liners, giving you options based on your product and handling needs.

- Round bottom drum liners: These liners conform closely to the shape of the drum’s base, reducing air pockets and helping ensure complete product removal. They are ideal for liquids, powders, and viscous materials. 

- Straight-sided rigid drum liners: These rigid drum liners hold their structure and are easy to insert and remove, making them ideal for repeated use and cleaner pumping or dispensing operations.

- Pleated (accordion-style) liners: These liners are designed to adjust to different drum heights, offering flexibility while still maintaining structure inside the drum. 

- Flat bottom liners: These liners provide dependable containment for products like coatings and food ingredients, especially in colder environments. 

- Anti-static liners: Engineered to reduce static buildup, anti-static liners are ideal for volatile or sensitive materials such as chemicals and powders.

Choosing the right thickness is key when selecting drum liners, as it directly impacts durability, flexibility, and performance. At The Cary Company, our liners typically range from 4 mil. to 30 mil., covering everything from light-duty to heavy duty drum liners. 

- 4–6 mil (light-duty liners): Light-duty liners are excellent for light powders, food ingredients, and low-viscosity liquids. Liners with this thickness offer excellent flexibility and ease of installation. This thickness is commonly found in general-purpose plastic drum liners.

- 8–15 mil (medium to semi-rigid liners): Medium-thickness liners are ideal for oils, syrups, and general industrial liquids, providing a balance between flexibility and strength. This thickness is often found in rigid drum liners or semi-structured applications.

- 20–30 mil (heavy-duty drum liners): This thickness is designed for heavy, abrasive, or high-viscosity materials like adhesives or resins. It offers superior puncture resistance and structural integrity, and is preferred when durability and product protection are critical.

Installing drum liners correctly ensures optimal performance and helps prevent contamination or product loss. While installation varies slightly by style, the core process is straightforward.

- Prepare the drum: Ensure the drum is clean and free of debris before inserting your liner.

- Insert the liner: Place the liner inside the drum, allowing it to naturally expand or conform. For round bottom drum liners, the base will mold to the drum’s interior to minimize folds and trapped air. 

- Secure the top: Use the fold-back feature to wrap the liner over the drum’s rim. Alternatively, tie-off or secure the liner depending on the style.

- Fill the drum: Add your product carefully, allowing the liner to settle and form to the contents.

- Close or seal: Once filled, secure the liner and drum lid for transport or storage.
