Tight Head Stainless Steel Drums

A tighthead drum, also known as a closed lid or sealed top drum, is a storage and transportation container whose lid is attached to its body. Product enters and exits the drum via fittings. Our tight head stainless steel drums have 2" NPT & 3/4" NPT fittings. Tight head drums can range from 55 gallon bulk containers to smaller sizes, like 5 gallons.

A tight head stainless steel drum has a fixed lids that is connected to the drum’s body. Product enters and exits the drum via fittings in the lid, which makes this style excellent for liquids and semi-liquids.

An open head stainless steel drum has a removable lid, often attached by a ring closure. Larger openings make open head drums suitable for transporting solids, powders, and thicker liquids that don’t fill and empty a container as easily.

A tight head stainless steel drum is an excellent bulk container for lower viscous liquids like water, oil, juice, ethanol, and alike. Our stainless drum selection is equipped with buna gaskets, which are rubber rings that help create a tight seal by the fittings and prevent leaks.
