Burgundy Wine Bottles

A Sturdy Bottle with Wide Base & Sloping Shoulders

Burgundy bottles feature gently sloping shoulders and a wide body. The larger base allows for a sturdy bottle for both white and red wine alike. Originally used for Pinots and Chardonnays, Burgundy bottles are now used for most reds similar to Pinot Noir. Most white wines that have been oak aged are bottled in this bottle style. Burgundy bottles are very similar to Rhône bottles, but are typically shorter and wider. Both reds and whites often use a dark green colored glass, but The Cary Company also offers clear burgundy wine bottles to display the color of your wine prominently.
