Pail strainers are used to filter remaining pollutants and particles during filling and dispensing. Strainers come available in 100 to 600 micron ratings and can be used on containers such as 1-gallon and 5-gallon pails. EZ-Strainer™ inserts lie on the top of any pail or open-head steel drum. The strainer allows your product to be poured through easily while removing unwanted particles. EZ-Strainer™ inserts are ideal for removing debris from paints, coatings, silicones, inks and any other liquid products that need to be particle-free.

What Materials Can You Filter With a Pail Strainer?

Our pail strainers, available to fit 1-gallon and 5-gallon pails, are designed to effectively remove unwanted particles from a wide range of liquid materials. These bucket strainers are ideal for removing debris of varying micron sizes (100–600 μm) from paints, coatings, silicones, inks, adhesives and more. Elastic-top strainers are excellent for thin liquids such as solvents and water.

Are Pail Strainers Reusable?

Yes, both EZ-Strainer™ inserts and elastic-top strainers are designed for repeated use. 

EZ-Strainer™ inserts are made from durable high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with a durable polyester mesh. These strainers also feature a patented lip design that locks securely onto pails and ensures easy cleaning. They can be rined and reused multiple times with materials such as paints, coatings, solvents and adhesives.

Elastic-top strangers are constructed from strong polyester mesh with a stretch-fit elastic rim. These strainers fit snugly over pails and hold up through repeated use. Simply wash and reuse!

What Are Pail Strainers Made From?

Our EZ-Strainer™ 5 gallon pail strainer bodies are vacuum‑formed from FDA-compliant high-density polyethylene (HDPE). The mesh screen is made from durable polyester available in four micron ratings: ultra-fine (100 μm), fine: (200 μm), medium (400 μm) and coarse (600 μm). 

Our elastic-top versions include a polyester mesh bag with an elastic band, sized to fit 1-gallon and 5-gallon pails snugly. Unlike EZ-Strainer™ inserts, these strainers are not FDA-compliant. These bags have a 150 micron rating.
