If your juice has been through the hot fill process, it could last 6 to 12 months longer than regularly packaged juices. No matter the juice, it’s important to use the expiration date on the bottle as a guideline to when you should dispose of the contents.

It is not generally recommended to reuse plastic juice bottles. Reused plastic bottles for drinks have the potential to leach toxic chemicals, which is why most manufacturers suggest they should only be used once. If you need to reuse plastic juice containers, be sure to thoroughly wash them and keep an eye out for cracks or scratches, at which point they should be disposed of.
