Protect your bottled wine with our 44 x 24 mm micro-agglomerated wine corks recommended for sealing and storing bottled wines for short periods. Grain 2 micro-agglomerated corks are made using natural cork granules between 1 to 2 mm in size and synthetic glue for an economic, attractive wine closure that offers the traditional bottle opening experience!

Our 44 x 24 mm grain 2 micro-agglomerated wine corks are #9 and compatible with most traditional 750 ml bottles. When inserted properly with a compatible bottle, the secure seal can protect bottled wine for periods up to 2 years.

Micro-agglomerated corks offer a natural, uniform appearance due to the small granule size used in the agglutination. Micro aglo corks are considered the best quality of composite corks. This pack of corks stoppers has a printed decorative grape pattern for visual appeal.

The cork surface has been coated to allow for easier corking and extraction while improving impermeability. This coating lasts no longer than six months. Our micro-agglomerated corks should be used immediately and not stored for longer than six months. We ship direct from the source in Portugal to ensure a fresh coating. This cork comes 1,000 per pack – at Wholesale Pricing!

Why micro-agglomerated cork?
Micro-agglomerated corks are high quality composite corks made from natural cork granules resulting from the production of natural cork stoppers and a synthetic glue. While agglomerated corks use granules larger than 2 mm, micro-agglomerated corks use smaller grains to provide a tighter seal. Grain 1 micro-agglomerated wine corks has granules between 0.5 mm and 1 mm, while grain 2 uses cork components between 1 mm and 2 mm.

Compared to agglomerated corks, micro-agglomerated corks offer greater elasticity and consistency due to the smaller granule size. Additionally, these closures have a more homogeneous appearance and smoother surface. Agglomerated corks are an economic solution for bottling wines for short periods of time, making them highly suitable for wines with high turnover on the market. With a consistent, low oxygen transmission rate, micro-agglomerated corks are typically suitable for preserving the fruit characteristics in wine.
